Hiram J. Chittenden Locks
A fabulous must see attraction in Seattle that everyone is sure to enjoy is the Hiram J. Chittenden Locks. Here you can watch the pleasure and commercial boats navigate the locks which is an absolutely amazing way to spend the afternoon. But at Hiram J. Chittenden, there's much more: those amazing climbing fish, the beautiful botanical gardens , and the best grassy hills in town for the kids to roll down. There are also prime picnic spots where you can sit and relax as you watch the boats go by. This by far is one of the most famous attractions in Seattle that is a must see while visiting Seattle. To get to the Ballard Locks it is only a 20 minute drive from Olympic View Bed and Breakfast Cottage and by far one of our most favorite things to do Seattle anytime of the year.
